We focus our efforts on projects that prioritize HOUSEHOLD WATER TREATMENT AND SAFE STORAGE – HWTS (a concept endorsed by the World Health Organization – WHO), as well as the use of local materials and renewable energies.
We promote technologies such as the Biosand Filter that, together with multiple additional treatment barriers, can provide safe or safe water for human consumption to rural communities.

In this comprehensive approach, the family is the operator and direct beneficiary of your water treatment system.
The process is complemented and made sustainable when community organizations begin to think about their basic supply and/or treatment systems and "self-manage and finance their own projects", in general, after the RPG Foundation and its allies sow a first seed with pilot projects for the implementation of filters, U.V. disinfection or water pumping systems, for example, using solar energy.

Also, we are part of the Colombian Healthy Water Program, which is a network of allied organizations such as Rotary International, Canadian Association for Participatory Development – CAPD, the Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology – CAWST, among others, which has managed to benefit 10,000+ families in different rural areas of the country with Bioarena filter projects.

Food
Security Projects
In our work for food security, we focus on simple agronomic projects at the community level. In the past, we developed REDFRUT as an option for solar dehydration (and also using gas) of fruits and vegetables. This process helps in the transformation of food, which is often lost during the harvest season in rural areas, offering added value in its preservation and improvement of marketing prices.
